Current Projects ü Facilitate consensus among the different Hispanic organizations in the revision and implementation of the new admissions plan. ü Provide information on funding opportunities for research on Hispanics issues and grants for Hispanics pursuing advanced degrees (see link Opportunities) ü Close interaction with MALFA (Mexican American U.S. Latino Faculty Association) and work towards establishment of TAMU Research Center on Hispanic Issues (MALRC). PHN Accomplishments of 2003 ü Established a logo for the organization. ü Expanded and developed the PHN website. ü Maintained a steady calendar of events throughout the year. ü Held membership meetings monthly. ü Developed a calendar of events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month for the First Time at Texas A&M University. ü Established a professional development series. ü Co-programming with MALFA. ü Hosted a professional development program for all networks.
